I have good news and bad news.

Of course, I'll give you the bad news first. The bad news is that we didn't get everything done over the weekend that we wanted to. aka our kitchen shelves did not make it onto the wall! But they are sanded, primed, sanded, painted, and ready to go! We need to mark the exact location of the brackets and how we want to place the shelves to line up with the studs. So since I need a little help from Adam to hold everything up, mark it, drill it, etc., and I don't want to rush him after work...we'll say maybe 2 more days to get all four shelves hung. lol *fingers crossed*

The GOOD news is that we got our kitchen wall sconces installed! YESSSS!! No more wires sticking out of the wall in the kitchen! Our electrician made it back out to our house and we were able to get all 3 sconces hardwired and installed. He even tried to cut the drywall very carefully so that I would be able to insert the piece back into place when he was done and just patch the drywall around it. SO helpful! 

I think the sconces make our kitchen ceiling look much higher somehow. Love it! I'm ready to get things wrapped up so I can add a few more Christmas decor touches to the kitchen before our Christmas party this weekend!

So even though I didn't get the shelves hung, I'm so proud of everything we got done this weekend. It took a while (and another trip to Home Depot for a specific size masonry drill bit), but we finally got our house numbers hung! Y'all have to tell me if it goes like this in your house, but I was going to "eyeball it" and hang the numbers and then Adam came along and wanted it to be more exact and he started doing complex math equations to figure it out! (Ha!) He had to put his physics degree to good use. Either way, I'm just glad they are up! I was trying to catch our mail man today to ask what he thought about our new numbers, but he snuck past me. LOL

While I was repairing drywall in the kitchen, I went ahead and repaired a wall in the master bedroom, where the previous owner had left her TV mount hardware installed and we had to rip it out. It made a huge mess (even though we were careful), so I'm thrilled to have those holes and previous paint colors covered up now!

Slow and steady wins the race, y'all! I hope I'll have a full kitchen reveal post for you soon, but for now I'm so excited to have a wall without holes and wires everywhere! Watch this Reels Video I posted about our lights progress today!
