What I Wore! Round 3! I'm actually so proud of myself for continuing this series...it takes time to document my outfit each day AND to get ready for the day! I've mentioned this before, but I feel much more productive and ready to work when I'm dressed and have at least a little makeup on, so getting ready each morning has been a game-changer, even though it takes me a little longer.
I'm noticing a bit of a theme with my WFH outfits, and it's true...I'm a t-shirt and jeans kind of gal until summer when I will switch exclusively between denim shorts or sundresses. I have so many dresses and can't wait to bust them out!
This week was some serious "Texas weather" with major temp swings. I'm actually so cold in my house right now but I refuse to turn the heater back on so I'm just going to suffer. Haha! Literally wore shorts one day then had to go to my guest room closet on Friday to get a turtleneck after I had already moved winter clothes out of my closet! Ha! Supposedly it's supposed to warm up this weekend - fingers crossed!
Why the new series? I'll tell you!
I have always loved seeing people's REAL outfits...not the photoshoot outfits! I know so many influencers who wear sweats all day and only get dressed on photoshoot day! lol that's totally fine (and I still have days when I don't get dressed!), but personally I noticed a difference in my attitude and productivity levels from day to day depending on if I got dressed or stayed in sweats!
I ALSO want to show a real size and a real budget on the internet! I'm (usually!) a size 8 on bottom and a size 6 on top. I mentioned this in my Turn Gifted Into Paid blog post, but I'm not a super model and I'm not doing anything crazy...just sharing my life! :) Representing for the middle-sized gals out there! I've also been working off of a capsule wardrobe foundation without trying...I noticed that I leaned toward the same few items each week so I moved everything else out of my closet temporarily to see if I missed it. I didn't! I've added a few new things in so far this spring, thanks to Wantable and Fabletics, and for the most party I'm a jeans and tee gal while I work at home!
I'm linking exact outfit pieces below if available, along with a few items that are close substitutes for anything unavailable (like my blouse from Tulum!). I hope it helps you see a few capsule wardrobe options to feel a little more put together while you work from home!
