I have your solution to watery drinks and outdoor dinner parties - the Peche Mignon! At my recent outdoor dinner party, we served the Peche Mignon, and it is always a hit, but was especially loved it on that hot summer day that we ate outside!
This cocktail is a Dallas classic, served at one of my favorite restaurants, Mercat Bistro, in Dallas. In French, the word "peche" means "peach" and "mignon" means "cute," so literally translated, this drink name means "cute peach"....even though this cocktail doesn't contain any peaches, the frozen ball looks like a peach in your glass so I love it!
My friend and roommate, Chandler, first came up with the idea to make her own Peche Mignon in 2020...since then, it's been a staple for me and I've brought them to a few brunch events, dinners, and served them outside on a hot day. So far, everyone has loved them, so I wanted to share this quick tutorial video to show you how to make them for yourself. It's easy!
All you need:
sphere ice mold (if you don't have one, you could also use an ice cube tray for slightly smaller cubes, but still a fun treat!
fresh fruit (I use strawberries, blueberries, and pineapple, but you could definitely customize your mix!)
orange juice
serve with champagne or use sparkling water for a mocktail!
