Dallas Blogger Brunch is one of my favorite events each month and it's hard to believe that we have been brunching for almost two years! I'm so thankful for the relationships that have come from this time each month to network and meet new friends over our favorite meal: brunch! See more of our past brunches. This month's Dallas Blogger Brunch was hosted by Blue Mesa and was different than any other brunch we have had! Blue Mesa is a staple on the Dallas brunch scene and has received countless accolades praising their Sunday brunch buffet. Their diverse menu paired with mimosas and coffee (and churros!) had our whole table singing their praises at last week's brunch.
Blue Mesa created a custom brunch buffet for us, along with a private dining area in their Northwest Highway location, giving brunch the feel of an exclusive party. Guests arrived and were greeted with a mimosa, found their seat, and mingled with other guests before brunch began. I wanted the brunch tablescape to have a southwestern flair to it, so I designed these bright floral arrangements along with these mini cacti to create a unique mix of centerpieces. These whimsical metallic placecards were designed by JB Script and also reflected the cactus motif in their design. Not only does brunch connect bloggers to other bloggers, but it also introduces them (and myself!) to talented creatives like JB Script- I love meeting and working with new friends on brunch projects and seeing the results.
The crowd favorite was definitely the churros (who doesn't love dessert for brunch?!) but the Adobo Black Bean Pies, breakfast potatoes, sausage, and the Egg Mesadillas were also delicious! Being able to get up and help yourself to another churro or serving of fruit was so convenient and not something that we usually get to do at brunch, so having a private buffet for our event was a special treat! Blue Mesa was so helpful in planning a menu for our group and made sure that we had everything that we needed to make brunch a success
